January 2026 Pattaya Nightlife Update: Soi 6 and Walking Street Have Changed

Both Soi 6 and Walking Street have gone through a major transformation. The scale of change is honestly hard to believe.

In both areas, as much as 50 percent of the bars are new. New venues are opening constantly. Blink and another bar appears.

Compared to previous visits, the overall quality of the ladies is noticeably higher. Better looking, better presented, and a much larger selection across both areas.

But the most significant change is not the bars or the girls.

It is the price explosion.

Below are the current real world costs as observed on the ground, including a comparison with Nana Plaza in Bangkok.

Current Prices January 2026

Soi 6 Pattaya

• Lady drink: 200 THB
  Mandatory purchase of 3 lady drinks
• Short time room: 400 THB
• Companionship: approximately 3000 THB

Walking Street Gogo Bars

• Lady drink: 250 THB
  Mandatory purchase of 5 lady drinks
• Barfine: 3000 THB
• Short time companionship: 6000 THB

Nana Plaza Gogo Bars Bangkok

• Lady drink: 220 THB
  No minimum drink requirement
• Barfine: fixed at 1000 THB
• Short time companionship: 4000 THB

What Does This Mean?

The era of cheap Thailand nightlife is over.

It is gone.

Walking Street gogo bars in particular appear completely out of touch with reality. Mandatory drink requirements combined with extreme barfines are killing value and pushing customers away.

Even more surprising, Nana Plaza is now roughly on par with Soi 6 in total cost. In some cases, Nana Plaza actually offers better value.

With no forced drink quotas, lower barfines, and noticeably classier dancers, there is no longer a clear financial advantage to Soi 6.

That alone would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.
