Live Update – January 3, 2026: Nana Plaza Gogo Bars (On the Ground Report)

Soi 4 is absolutely buzzing right now. Foot traffic is strong, the street is packed, and Nana Plaza feels lively and energetic. That said, the overall gogo bar scene in Nana Plaza remains largely unchanged.

As always, a small number of gogo bars are packed and getting most of the action, while many others are clearly struggling. Some bars have only a handful of dancers and thin crowds. A likely reason is the holiday period, with many gogo dancers returning home temporarily.

Red Dragon Gogo – Still a Standout, but the Renovation Is Overhyped

Let’s start with Red Dragon Gogo, which has long been my personal overall favorite gogo bar in Nana Plaza.

There has been a lot of talk about their recent renovation, but in reality, the hype outweighs the result. The new addition is a small side section with a stage and seating, and honestly, it adds very little to the experience. If anything, it distracts from what makes Red Dragon great in the first place.

The real draw here is the main stage, filled with stunning gogo girls dancing nonstop. The music remains excellent, and in my opinion, the average Red Dragon dancer is easily a 9, while most other Nana Plaza gogo dancers average closer to an 8. (Just my personal take.)

Mandarin A Gogo – The Real Surprise of Nana Plaza

Directly above Red Dragon is Mandarin A Gogo, and this bar is the biggest surprise of the plaza right now.

Mandarin has made a bold move: they have shifted from topless to fully nude dancing. At the moment, it appears to be the only gogo bar in Nana Plaza offering total nudity. You sit down, and right in front of you are around 10–12 fully nude dancers performing on stage. It is intense, visual, and unforgettable.

But that is only part of the story.

The sound system at Mandarin is on another level. The bass hits hard, the walls literally vibrate, and the EDM soundtrack takes the entire experience up a notch. Compared to most other gogo bars in Nana Plaza, the sound quality here is noticeably superior.

And there is more.

While the Mandarin dancers may not be quite as beautiful as those at Red Dragon, their entertainment value is unmatched. Once you buy a dancer a lady drink, she will often perform a fully nude lap dance directly on you. This kind of interaction is rare, exciting, and something you simply do not see in most gogo bars.

If you are looking for fun, strong vibes, and real entertainment, Mandarin A Gogo is an easy recommendation.

Pro Tip: Buy the DJ a Drink

One thing I do that almost nobody else seems to do: I buy the DJ a drink when I enjoy the music.

It is the right thing to do, it improves the overall vibe, and it subtly elevates your status in the room. Good music matters in gogo bars, and acknowledging it makes a difference.

Butterflies & Billboard – Why All the Hype?

One thing that genuinely surprises me is the reputation of Butterflies and Billboard, often considered the two main gogo bars in Nana Plaza.

Yes, they are busy. Yes, they attract large crowds. But beyond that, I struggle to see what makes them special.

The music is decent but not exceptional, and the bigger issue is the dancers. Many are average looking compared to other bars, and they also tend to be a bit older. Despite being the busiest venues, the overall experience feels underwhelming. In my opinion, their popularity is driven more by hype than substance.

Smaller Gogo Bars – Hidden Gems and Better Chances

Some of the smaller, less obvious gogo bars in Nana Plaza are worth exploring. These bars often have a few real gems, and because traffic is lighter, the dancers tend to work harder to keep you engaged.

In these quieter bars, you may find the perfect girl for YOU, and she will often be more attentive, less guarded, and more flexible. Bar hopping through smaller venues can pay off in unexpected ways.

Prices, Barfines, and Reality Check

Prices across Nana Plaza are slightly higher, but not dramatically so. There seems to be a natural ceiling where resistance kicks in if prices rise too much.

Nana Plaza continues to offer variety, atmosphere, and reliable entertainment. You will have fun here.

If you want a genuinely memorable experience even without barfining anyone, Mandarin A Gogo is the clear winner right now.

If your goal is to barfine the girl of your fantasies, you must hop from bar to bar. Chances are very high you will find someone you could never find back home.

Remember: gogo bars are the most expensive nightlife option, but they offer the best entertainment, attractive dancers, and strong music. They are also the only way to truly see what you are getting before committing to anything more.

It is not cheap. Costs add up fast. Come prepared with cash, buy lady drinks, tip generously, and spend. If you do not, the vibe drops and so does your experience.
